 After about seven months, Jean felt she was ready for the next step in her Reiki training. Chris felt very honored when Jean asked her if she could come to the next Reiki II class.

At first she was a little overwhelmed by the different Reiki symbols she had to remember. But her desire to help others and having the knowledge to give long-distance treatments to her sister across the country kept her focused. She could feel in her hands how the energy intensified after she drew the symbols.

That was all the "proof" she needed to know to feel confident. From then on Chris often felt a boost of energy throughout the day and knew Jean was sending her Reiki. Jean always smiled when asked and responded "that’s what friends are here for, isn’t it?"

Jean was never tired of offering Reiki to everybody and everything. She offered it to people, animals, plants, Mother Earth and stressful situations around the world. When ever there was an earthquake, a flooding or a war zone, Jean would sit for hours and send healing energy where it was needed. She was in her mid 90’s when she fell and broke her hip.

After that she moved into a nursing home. The staff did not understand what she was doing and discouraged her from being "silly". Now at the tender age of 98 she is in a wheelchair. She waits daily for Chris to come and talk about the important stuff …Reiki!
