Reiki For Dogs

When I did my first and second level Reiki I did not have a dog. I had only read and heard about animals and Reiki. I thought the stories were so cool. I heard the story of Chico so many times and cats and dogs feeling so much better after a short Reiki session.

It is interesting that we need at least one hour session to help us get better. But the effect on animals is so much faster. Most winggle themselves out of our hands after a few minutes and feel better.

When Timba, my German Sheperd came into my life I did some Reiki session on her ... ! She would not let me do it and run away. I was so puzzled. Until one day I realized she was not feeling well. I am not sure what was happening but she was vomiting and was being restless. So I tried again. To my atosnishment she let me put my hands on her and channel some Reiki Energy.

I realized that when she is healthy she does not need the Reiki Energy for healing. This is why she runs away. Smart.

I also find it interesting when the Energy starts flowing how she perks her head up and seems to listen up to something.

Anyway since then I have used Reiki to measure her state of health. If she does not let me do a Reiki treatment, I know she is just fine. If not a few minutes is often all it takes to take aches and pain away.

If you are a first or second degree Reiki, you do not need another training to help and heal your pet. Just put your hands on their little body and let the Energy flow.

If you have not been initiated yet, it is probably the nicest gift you can give to yourself and the world around you.
